Further Flexibility in Work Arrangements beginning July 14

Given the recent substantial increase in Hong Kong of new local cases of Covid-19, and further to the Task Force’s bulk email dated July 12, 2020, the University is making further arrangements to reduce the possibility of infection occurring in HKU by temporarily reducing the number of staff who are physically on campus. At the same time, the University will endeavor to maintain basic services to the extent possible including maintaining the normal operating hours in general. Starting from July 14, 2020 until further notice, Departments/units are asked to make, as far as possible, appropriate “work from home” and/or roster arrangements, while ensuring that basic services are maintained. Detailed implementation arrangements will be circulated to Heads of Departments/units shortly.
