Work Arrangements for the Week of December 7, 2020

The local outbreak of COVID-19 continues and there remains elevated transmission risk in the community.   We continuously monitor the situation and consult various public health experts.   For the coming week of December 7, 2020, Departments/units are asked to maintain appropriate rostering arrangements and normal services in general as set out in the Task Force’s bulk email dated November 30, 2020.  For colleagues working on campus, Departments/units should continue to exercise flexibility in work arrangements such as by adopting flexi-hours and staggered lunch breaks as far as practicable.

Consistent with the Government’s further tightening of social distancing measures, individual facilities such as the sports facilities and the catering outlets have adjusted their services and stepped up corresponding requirements in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.   All colleagues on campus are reminded to continue to maintain an appropriate physical distance with others particularly during “mask-off” activities such as eating or drinking.  Colleagues should not gather in groups when having meals, whether indoors or outdoors.   Currently, the Government prohibits group gatherings of more than two persons in public places.

The University will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and make the necessary adjustments.  Please check with the COVID-19 INFO HUB on the University Main Page for services update, and continue to stay vigilant and make personal and group health your top priority.
