Work Arrangements for the Week of December 14, 2020

There is still an unwavering outbreak of local cases of COVID-19, linked in part to the emerging clusters of infections as well as hidden chains of transmission in Hong Kong. The Government has announced more stringent social distancing measures with a view to reducing people flow and gathering activities in the community.

For the week of December 14, 2020, Departments/units are asked to review the rostering arrangements for their staff. While aiming to maintain normal services in general, Departments/units are encouraged to exercise greater flexibility in work arrangements as far as practicable. Heads of Departments/units should also take into consideration the particular circumstances of individual staff members.
In light of the Government’s latest social distancing measures, the sports facilities have been temporarily closed and the catering outlets have further adjusted their services. Colleagues on campus should continue to maintain social distancing and personal and environmental hygiene at all times to prevent the spread of the virus. At present, the Government’s prohibition of group gatherings of more than two persons in public places remains in force.
The University will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and make the necessary adjustments. Please check with the COVID-19 INFO HUB on the University Main Page for services update, and continue to stay vigilant and make personal and group health your top priority.
