Government compulsory testing notices

Dear colleagues and students,

In light of the outbreak in HK of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, we are writing with information about Government compulsory testing notices.

Where a compulsory testing notice relates to HKU premises, a message will be uploaded to the main page of the HKU website. Clicking on this message will lead to the HKU COVID-19 Info Hub, which will provide full details. FAQs in the Info Hub provide all the latest information as we continue to refine our infection control measures.

More general information about compulsory testing notices can be found in daily Governments press releases and the local situation dashboard. As you know, the LeaveHomeSafe app sends notifications to affected individuals. Enquiries about compulsory testing arrangements may be addressed to the Government hotline at 6275 6901, or the Centre for Health Protection hotlines at 2125 1111 and 2125 1122.

Persons subject to compulsory testing should take appropriate personal disease prevention measures, including wearing a mask and maintaining hand hygiene. Other than for taking the specified test, they should stay at their place of residence and avoid visiting the campus until they receive their first negative test result.
