Work Arrangements for the Week of March 15, 2021

In view of the latest development of the COVID-19 situation, the University will continue the normal work arrangements as set out in the Task Force’s bulk email dated February 19, 2021 .

As announced by the Government, the COVID-19 vaccination priority groups have been extended to cover teachers and school staff of higher and post-secondary education institutions.  Bookings for receiving vaccination at the Community Vaccination Centres (CVCs) or designated general outpatient clinics of the Hospital Authority can be made at the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme website.  You can also contact the University Health Service (Tel: 3917 2514) or other private clinics participating in the Vaccination Programme to make appointments.

The CVC at Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre is operated by the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.  At the same time, they are recruiting volunteers for vaccination research studies that will produce new knowledge for the next stage of COVID-19 control.  Please visit their website if you are interested in participating in or learning more about these studies.

The University will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and make necessary adjustments.  We are particularly aware of the cluster of cases related to Ursus Fitness which is in close proximity to the University.  Individual Departments/units may exercise discretion in making alternative work arrangements if circumstances related to Ursus Fitness arise.  Information on campus-related confirmed or close contact cases, including those related to Ursus Fitness, is available on the COVID-19 INFO HUB.  You should seek prompt medical advice and get tested if you develop any symptoms or reasonably believe that you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.  Please check with the COVID-19 INFO HUB on the University Main Page for services update and continue to stay vigilant, and always make personal and group health your top priority.
