With effect from 17 November 2022, anyone wishing to enter the campus will use the LeaveHomeSafe (LHS) mobile application to scan the venue QR code. Visitors will need to comply with the vaccination requirements under the government’s latest Vaccine Pass to enter the HKU campus and present the relevant records or exemption certificates if required.
Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
i.e. two doses of recognised COVID-19 vaccines for at least 14 days
Received one dose of COVID-19 vaccination plus provide a weekly negative COVID-19 test result.
HKU members / visitors should present vaccination records of at least the first dose of COVID-19 plus provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous seven days.
Major negative COVID-19 tests accepted by the government and negative COVID-19 rapid antigen tests are accepted.
Children aged from 5 to 17 are only required to receive one dose of COVID-19 vaccination to be seen as fulfilling the requirement.
Anyone wishing to enter HKU campus will need to have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination for at least 14 days.
Children aged from 12 to 17 are only required to receive one dose if they are still within six months from receiving the first vaccine dose. They are required to receive the second dose if they have received the first dose for over six months.
Children aged from 5 to 11 are only required to receive one dose to be seen as fulfilling the requirement.
Only one dose of COVID-19 vaccination plus weekly negative COVID-19 test result will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED for campus access.
Please note the entry requirements for the following premises may differ at specific venues on campus such as:

#: subject to “passive checking” i.e. patrons may enter the venue after scanning the venue QR code, subject to compliance with the current vaccination requirements

To fulfil the HKU Vaccine Pass requirement, at least two doses of vaccination is required.
Recovered persons can take reference to the suggestions by the Centre for Health Protection, Department of Health on further vaccination.

Starting from 30 April 2022, HKU members will no longer need to tap their staff or student cards at campus entrances. Anyone wishing to enter the campus will be asked to use the LeaveHomeSafe (LHS) mobile application to scan the venue QR code. LHS will automatically display the QR code of one’s vaccination record or exemption certificate to indicate the compliance with the HKU Vaccine Pass.

Original, photocopy or screenshot of your COVID-19 self-test record if you have only got one dose of vaccination. (only applicable before 25 April, 2022)
*Proof for persons previously infected with COVID-19
Recovered persons can present the relevant proof of recovery or infection, such as discharge letter, SMS/electronic/paper record of positive nucleic acid test result issued by the Government or private laboratories recognised under the Laboratory Recognition Scheme of the DH, SMS/electronic record of completed declaration on DH’s “Declaration System for individuals tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test”, isolation order issued by the DH, and other recovery records issued by the Government or the Hospital Authority. Photograph showing a positive rapid antigen test result alone cannot serve as a valid recovery record. The person concerned should report the test result to the DH through the “Declaration System for individuals tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test“.
For recovered persons holding a medical exemption certificate issued by a doctor, he or she can be exempted from the vaccination requirements of the HKU Vaccine Pass within the validity period of the medical exemption certificate.
