According to the latest announcement made by the HKSAR Government, all inbound travellers are required to follow quarantine measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Before you leave for Hong Kong, please read the advice here carefully.
For students who need to undergo compulsory home quarantine (for inbound travellers from the Mainland China or Macao only), please click here for some practical advice.
If you are Hong Kong residents (having HKID cards) and will return from the Mainland or Macao, you may take Return2hk Scheme and be exempted from the compulsory quarantine. For details, please visit: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/return2hk-scheme.html
If you are required to have the compulsory quarantine for 21 / 14 / 7 days in designated quarantine hotels, please see here for a list of hotels for quarantine purposes. Please note that the halls of residence will NOT be used for quarantine purposes. Prior to entering the residential halls or participating in classes, you will be obligated to undergo and complete all compulsory quarantine and health control requirements of the HKSAR Government.
In case you are a close contact of any of the confirmed cases, you may be admitted to hospital or sent to a designated quarantine centre as required by the HKSAR Government.
As the compulsory quarantine and health control requirements will be updated from time to time as required by the Government, you are advised to check on the government website for the latest details: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/inbound-travel.html.
If you are determined by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) to be a close contact of a confirmed case, please click to read the Frequently Asked Questions for Close Contacts under Mandatory Quarantine at Quarantine Centres.
