As soon as the vaccine became available to me I received both doses. Since we will be returning to face-to-face learning with 40,000 people on campus in September, I took the vaccine to protect myself from COVID-19 and to protect other people I interact with. Also, I took it for the greater ability to travel which is crucial for my PhD research and hopefully to visit home in the near future as I miss my family so much.
I took the vaccine so I could travel freely across borders in the future.
I decided to take the vaccine to protect students and friends during face-to-face lessons, and it is important for protecting Hong Kong’s public health.
At the beginning, I was so afraid and hestitate to take the COVID vaccine. After the online webinar from Dr To and Professor Poon, their explanation improved my understanding and confidence with mRNA vaccine. I think both the University and the government could develop more this kind of communication channel to encourage vaccination.
Vaccination is the first step towards safeguarding the health and wellbeing of the HKU community.
I took the vaccine for future possible travel and for a safer teaching and learning environment.
I am taking the vaccine because I am worried that I would not be allowed to visit my relatives who are currently in hospital.
According to WHO, vaccination is the only option left for us to prevent the spread of COVID-19. By taking vaccination I can protect myself and by so doing protect others. The vaccination is going to be a requirement for travel. As a staff I have to work with many people particularly with students and when I go to classrooms, I can have a bit of confidence that I am protected and am protecting others to a certain extent.
Vaccination helps reduce the chance of infecting the virus. It is a great measure to stop the virus from spreading to more people and let us return to a normal life.
To protect myself, family members, friends and the community, I feel proud to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination campaign!
The pandemic has lasted for a long time and we all don’t know when it will stop. Taking the vaccine might be one of the most effective ways to keep ourselves and our family members healthy. More importantly, it helps to bring our life back to normal.
I am confident with the arrangement by HKU. It is convenient for us to take the vaccine on campus.
Safe and effective.
It is very convenient for us HKU staff or students to take vaccination on campus. The service provided by the University is excellent and I really appreciate your hard work. Being vaccinated not only does good to ourselves but also brings benefits to the whole community and others around us.
Quite a few of my relatives and friends have contracted COVID-19 over the past year; it isn’t an easy experience and shouldn’t be taken lightly. I registered for the BioNTech vaccine in Hong Kong shortly after I became eligible. The entire process was very smooth and well organized, and I didn’t even experience any side-effects after either jab. I strongly believe vaccination is a significant part of safeguarding ourselves against COVID-19 and could aid in stopping transmission, and I think it’s a major step towards resuming normal life.
I chose to take the vaccine because I want to protect myself and my family members. Vaccination in the HKU hall is great and I am happy to do so.
After such a long period of isolation, everybody is much looking forward to becoming able to travel again. I think the only way to make this wish come true is for all citizens to receive vaccination. Grateful of the arrangement so that we can do this easily!
I took the vaccine to protect myself and my family.
I took the vaccine to avoid any inconvenience caused by the government’s restrictions against COVID-19.
Taking the COVID-19 vaccination helps us resume normal life and gives protection to ourselves and people around us. I look forward to the coming opportunities of meeting face-to-face with students and colleagues again!
In order to obtain immunity against COVID-19, we all need to take the vaccine.
Protecting ourselves is protecting the society.
